The tutor analyses timing, error patterns and weak spots; from there the personalised plan starts, set around the TIL-I session, your target score and the Politecnico di Torino course you are aiming for. Between lessons the tutor sets targeted work on our platform, so you keep progressing at home too.

Development
Section-by-section consolidation, with the test timings: 36 minutes for maths, 22 for physics, 20 for comprehension and logic, 12 for technical knowledge. Every session is tracked in Up to Connect, every mistake reviewed with the tutor. The guided independent work between lessons, with exercises built on the week's mistakes, is where you build the speed the TIL-I demands.

16 questions out of 42, in 36 minutes: it is the longest section, and on equal scores in the ranking it is the first one that counts. Algebra, geometry, trigonometry and functions, with specific training for speed.

Up to ten mi era stato suggerito da un’amica e a mia volta, dopo averlo provato, l’ho suggerito ad altri genitori i cui figli avevano necessità di recuperare lacune in materie scientifiche, ma anche in latino. Admission to the Politecnico di Torino
TIL-I or SAT? How to get into the Politecnico di Torino
The Politecnico di Torino admits students to Engineering in two ways: with the TIL-I, its own in-person test, or with the SAT, with at least 650 in each section. For the TIL-I the minimum threshold is 30/100 and the guarantee threshold 60/100, which secures your first-choice course. The TOLC-I, which the Politecnico di Milano accepts as an alternative to the TOL, is not used in Turin. Our preparation covers both the TIL-I and the SAT.

The context: rankings are per degree course and are worked through until the places run out. You list up to five courses in order of preference: with the guarantee threshold you get into the first one, below it your position counts. A structured preparation makes the difference between clearing the threshold and choosing the course you really want.
The threshold that matters
With 60/100 you get your first-choice course
The TIL-I guarantee threshold is 60/100: with that score you enrol in the degree course you put first, without waiting for the ranking.
Between 30 and 60 you enter the ranking and your position counts, course by course: on equal scores maths weighs first.
That is why the work aims at 60, not 30: it is the difference between choosing your course and waiting for a place to free up.

FAQ about TIL-I Polito
It is 42 questions in 90 minutes, in four timed sections: 16 in maths in 36 minutes, 10 in reading comprehension and logic in 20, 10 in physics in 22 and 6 in basic technical knowledge in 12. Each question has five answers, only one correct. The test is individual, with randomly drawn questions of equivalent difficulty, and can be taken in Italian or in English. The syllabus for each section is in the Apply@polito guide, which you can see once you have registered.
With 30/100 you enter the ranking. With 60/100, the guarantee threshold, you enrol in the course you put first. Between 30 and 60 your position counts: rankings are per course and, on equal scores, maths weighs first, then comprehension and logic, then physics, then technical knowledge. If you get in with less than 4.8 out of 16 in maths, you will have an OFA (Additional Academic Obligation) to make up.
At most three times, once per session, and the best result counts. Each registration costs €50: it cannot be refunded, cancelled or moved to another session. If your test is voided for breaking the rules, it still counts as an attempt.
In person, in the Politecnico's computer labs in Turin or at the Mondovì campus. You sit it in your final year of high school or after your diploma, and the score only counts for the following academic year. For 2026/27 there were five sessions, from 19 February to 20 July 2026 (the last one for EU candidates only): registration on Apply@polito opened on 27 January and the rankings were scheduled for 23 July. Next year's dates come out with the new admission call.

Yes: the Politecnico di Torino accepts the SAT as an alternative to the TIL-I, with at least 650 in each of the two sections. For 2026/27 the scores had to be uploaded on Apply@polito by 30 April. The order of the rankings matters: first those who reached the TIL-I guarantee threshold, then SAT candidates, then the other TIL-I candidates with at least 30.
No. Calculators, phones, smartwatches and notes are banned in the exam room: the invigilators hand out blank paper and a pen, and our mock tests work the same way. The exception is candidates with a certified SpLD or disability, who are entitled to a non-programmable calculator and extra time.
The TIL-I is the Politecnico di Torino test, taken in person: 42 questions in 90 minutes. The TOL is the Politecnico di Milano test, taken online: 65 questions in 100 minutes. The TOLC-I is the CISIA test, accepted by many universities including the Politecnico di Milano, but not by the Politecnico di Torino, which asks for the TIL-I or the SAT. Maths, physics, logic and comprehension come up in all three.

Three options. Our centre is in Milan at Via Giuseppe Frua 21/6 (De Angeli area); we also offer preparation online with the same quality and real-time tracking on Up to Connect, and lessons at home in Milan with the same dedicated tutor.
No. The TIL-I score only counts for the following academic year, so you sit it in your final year of high school or after your diploma. That is a difference from the Politecnico di Milano's TOL, which offers early admission in Year 12.
Yes: once you register on Apply@polito, the Politecnico provides a practice test for the TIL-I and study material to download. With us, full mock tests are timed section by section, with the −0.25 penalty, and every mistake is reviewed with the tutor.
