The problem

Studying in August isn''t recovery — it''s organised panic.

The pattern is always the same: school ends in June, everything gets pushed to July, then in mid-August you find a tutor in a hurry. Three weeks to cover a year''s worth of material — no diagnosis, no plan, no real simulations. You arrive at the exam having "reviewed" everything and understood little.

A failed exam isn''t the sign of a student who "can''t do it". It''s the sign of a study method that didn''t work during the year. Cramming with the same method that led to the failure is the surest way to land in September exactly where you were in July.

Real recovery starts from a different question: where did the gaps form, and why. From there we build the plan — on your teacher''s actual syllabus, not a generic summary. The goal isn''t just to pass the re-sit. It''s to arrive in October with foundations that hold up under the new programme.

The method

Four phases to reach September actually prepared.

The same Up to Ten Method we use through the year, compressed and calibrated for the re-sit. Four phases, no shortcuts.

  1. 1

    1. Subject diagnosis

The first lesson is dedicated to identifying real gaps — not "by feel". The tutor maps the types of errors, the missing foundations, the way of reasoning. Everything starts here. A plan built on a wrong diagnosis fails.

  2. 2

    2. Plan built on the teacher''s syllabus

We build the plan from your teacher's actual syllabus and from the year's tests — not from a generic summary. Priority topics, clear timing up to September, measurable goals shared with the family.

  3. 3

    3. Guided practice, not hour-padding

Tutor hours are for explaining and correcting. Consolidation happens in guided independent work, calibrated by the tutor week by week. We don't fill August with lessons — we structure study so every hour produces results.

  4. 4

    4. Simulations and tracking on Up to Connect

Mock exams built on the model of your teacher's tests, under real conditions: timed, no outside help. Every simulation, every exercise, every topic covered is tracked on Up to Connect — student and parents see progress in real time.

Subjects covered

  • Math (algebra, geometry, calculus, probability)
  • Physics (mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, optics)
  • Chemistry (general, organic, biochemistry)
  • Biology (cellular, genetics, anatomy)
  • Earth sciences and natural sciences

September arrives sooner than it looks.

Esperienza eccellente! Mio figlio ha trovato docenti molto preparati (sia di matematica, sia di inglese) e un'ottima organizzazione. Il corso gli ha dato una preparazione solida e più sicurezza nell'affrontare i test. Scuola assolutamente consigliata.

Consiglio Up to Ten perché unisce organizzazione, disponibilità e un supporto davvero efficace.

Consiglio lui e Uptoten a chiunque voglia migliorare a scuola.

Super consigliati

What changes between June and October

Our summer-recovery students don''t remember much about the July hours. They remember the moment, in August, when they solved on their own an exercise that had felt impossible in May. That shift — from "I don''t understand" to "I know how this works" — is what changes the rest of the school year.

For families, summer doesn''t turn into a battlefield. There''s a plan, there''s a tutor, there''s visible data. Sundays stay Sundays. In September the student walks into class with two things they didn''t have in June: the foundations, and the proof that they can build them.

One-to-one lessons start at €36/hour for middle and high school. The price includes a dedicated tutor from our team, a plan built on your teacher's syllabus, calibrated exam simulations and tracking on Up to Connect. No package to buy upfront: you can start with one lesson and decide week by week.
Right after school ends, ideally in the first half of June. Starting in July still works; starting in August means compressing the syllabus into three weeks and losing the margin for simulations. The more time you have, the more sustainable the plan stays and the less stressful it is for the student.
It depends on the subject, the starting point, and how many gaps have accumulated. After the first-lesson diagnosis, we build a plan with a realistic number of hours — usually between 15 and 30 hours spread across June-September for a single subject. No standard packages: the plan is calibrated to the student.
Both. Our centre is in Milan at Via Giuseppe Frua 21/6 (MM1 De Angeli), with online lessons on a shared whiteboard or at home in the Milan area. The tutor is the same in all modes, and the Up to Ten Method and tracking on Up to Connect stay identical. Many families alternate based on summer logistics.
Yes. We organise parallel tracks with a different tutor for each subject, coordinated on the same platform. The pedagogical coordinator balances the weekly load so the student doesn't end up with two mock exams on the same day or a spike of hours right before the re-sits.
Yes, Monday to Friday, closed only on public holidays. August is peak month for recovery: part of the team is dedicated exclusively to summer programmes, both in centre and online. We recommend locking in your August calendar by end of June to secure the best slots with your chosen tutor.
From the Up to Connect dashboard, accessible on phone or computer. You see topics covered, exercises completed, simulation results and an estimated preparation level — updated after every lesson. No "how did it go today?" when your child gets home: the data is always there.
